I had the same problem with 6 2nd recordings and finally figured out how to get longer recordings: 1) turn OFF smart detection / movement detection. Seems counter-intuitive but apparently that'south only for sending fiddling alerts to yous and recording those useless 6 second clips. 2) Activity Detection Recording: if information technology is OFF, information technology will tape non cease until the SD card is full, then go back and delete the oldest files and tape over them. If this setting is ON, then it will record anything when information technology senses something to record, and the clips can become several minutes. I have a Yi subscription for upward to 5 cameras ($99 yr) and I do get 24/7 recording on my cameras. Several times I needed to go back to review and had admission to what I needed. I actually like their subscription for five Cameras with continuous recording is crawly and a LOT cheaper than many other services.

you are generally right because I only found out that this camera does not have whatsoever settings for keep on record continuously, it does have the pick for 24/7 simply ONLY for alarm recording. User could manually record by printing the "recording icon" button while viewing on a device only equally soon the the device screen turn off, the recording also stop. YI demand to add the option to tape continuously 24/7 in their app

It will record the pause in....yous can lookout it immediately on the app and save the video to your phone...the micro sd card is needed and the video will only be saved on the sd card for about a twenty-four hour period, as the card is constantly recording and re-writing itself...

Hey guys. I was very confused near this too. The app all though very nicely done is not logical when you view an warning. Alerts are merely 6 seconds. Information technology's a snapshot of the initial movement. Nevertheless once the vi second clip is done playing two buttons announced on the video. One says replay. The other says complete prune. I find that the half-dozen 2d clip doesn't work if y'all click to see the complete clip when using a 2GB Micro SD card, as shortly as I put in 32GB cards in my cameras the consummate prune function started working.

No. The alert you rec'v through the app will only exist a 6sec video for you lot to view. You tin can so select the camera(due south) icon in the app to view the entire event. It too records a couple of seconds before and after the consequence happens likewise.

That is not correct. You can go into the camera settings and decide if you lot desire to record full fourth dimension or only when the camera detects motility. And it is not a SIM card, information technology is a micro SD card.
